ARE CHRIS EVANS AND TOM HIDDLESTON REAL PEOPLE?
So I’ve been thinking about the doctors, and my theory that they always correct the previous incarnations flaws, and I’ve been thinking a lot further into it, not only that but the way in which they die also influences their next form.
1- grumpy and distant, an old man that was sometimes feeble, selfish and rude. Killed by his aged body being worn out.
2- rectified this, younger in body and mind, fixing the elderly problem. He was more whimsical and lighthearted. And he had a heart of gold, cared a lot more about the feelings of others, quite sensitive at the heart of it. But he lacked authority. His whimsical ways meant that he was often perceived as a farce by his enemies. ‘Killed’ by the legal system of his planet
3- the structure of gallifrey’s legal system influences the way the doctor lives, getting a job, working for unit. But this also allowed him to have authority. A sense that he knew what he was doing, he was head of science at unit, perceived as authoritative as opposed to two. But he was very by the book, killed by facing his fears
4- a true bohemian, rebelling against any form of structure and sophistication, the universal troll as opposed to the man who follows a rule book. He was fearless and simply laughed in the face of death, always making a scene of himself. Killed by recklessly risking life and limb on top of a radio tower thing.
5- far less reckless. Logical thinking before rushing into risking his life. Quietly keeping to the shadows, plotting internally than letting his enemies know what he was up to. He was more a thinker than a doer. But killed saving his friend
6- inadvertently alienated himself from his friend, saving himself, but whereas he could save peri before, could this have killed her? The 6th doctor returned to the manor of making a scene, and sticking out like a sore thumb. Self obsessive just a tad, and not keeping it quietly. Killed because he was recognised by an old foe who wanted a mind he bragged about.
7- to fix the problem of being too self obsessed and showy offy, 7 kept himself a mystery, putting on the facade of a clown and hiding his darker motives. He was underestimated by his enemies but was this what he wanted? To be completely inconspicuous. Killed by the society he found himself in.
8- more of the 19th century romantic than any of the others, reflective of societies problems that killed him. he could appreciate the beauty and the natural purity of the world. He could see light in people that others could not, but perhaps he was too much of an idealist. Killed by the war.
War- becoming a warrior in light of the war is an obvious influence. He had no time for appreciating the beauty of life. He had to be forward, and destructive and do things his former selves would not approve of. He dwelled on this, he thought long and hard about his actions. Killed because he was no longer needed
9- wanted to forget the past that was “no longer needed” constantly trying to move forward, he couldn’t dwell because he daren’t. He was full of rage and anger. Killed because Rose wanted to save him
10- perhaps in repayment to rose devoted himself to her, perhaps gratitude? Contrasting 9’s rage and ruthlessness, 10 was merciful, giving everyone a chance. But he was too human, he was too emotionally attached to Earth and in the end it killed him
11- more of an alien, rectifying the human flaw of 10. He was childish and weird to make himself as different to us as possible. He died because he resigned himself to destiny, ironic thinking how his message was always ‘time can be rewritten’ and when that message changed he died.
12- so what can we predict about 12? The death by determinism of 11 already tells us that 12 will be rebellious, as we’ve already been told. He’s a maturer doctor physically, fixing the childish ways of 11. But whether there are any other flaws rectified, we’ll have to wait and see…
If you can think of anything else, please let me know. These are just my thoughts, they’re not set in stone.
THE EYEBROW IN THE LAST GIF THOUGH.
I’d like to think that was the same guy from Comic-Con who yelled “MY WIFE LOVES YOU” at Tom Hiddleston.
